The Bride and the Butterfly Hunter

The Botanical Gardens, Tel Aviv (2021)
As part of Loving Art Making Art festival, Tel Aviv

Site-specific sound installation: speakers, bridal veil, garden bench, sound, variable dimensions

Two loudspeakers, sitting on a bench in a hidden corner of a spacious public garden, are having a conversation about love, disappointment and everything in between. The conversation is based on the Israeli play "The Bride and the Butterfly Hunter", written by playwright Nisim Aloni in 1966. The play was recorded and edited into a new version, replacing the actors with loudspeakers conducting a conversation in the monotonous and sharp voice of professional news broadcasters.
